When we started the factory we looked for a name that embodied what our company wishes to portray. The name MZONDO is the Xhosa word for firefly. This name is significant to us because it talks of our relationship and dependence on the African soil, as well as our commitment to farming with nature.

We have a very small production facility where we process approximately 20 tons of fruit per day.

Our fruits are grown in the fertile Sundays River Valley in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. Mzondo is the only dedicated organic citrus juicing facility in South Africa, and exports the vast majority of our products to customers in Europe.

Mzondo has an ever expanding product offering that is centered on our extremely high quality lemon products. Mzondo Organic NFC lemon juice has been recognised as the finest in the world, while our lemon oil is fast gaining equally elevated approval. Our product offerings is supplemented by Navel and Valencia products and a small quantity of Mandarin and Ruby Grapefruit.

Mzondo produces NFC juices, cold pressed essential oils, dried - and wet peel products and pulp. All of our products are certified organic by EcoCert.
